The Story Behind 'Saliva Joint'

Have you ever tried playing a saxophone with a joint tucked inside? It is moments like this that inspire us to write 'Saliva Joint'. Jamison Smeltz, our incredible Sax Player, spent a good chunk of our first rehearsal together trying to figure out why his instrument sounded like crap. There was a blockage of some sort, that was for sure. Finally, he took every piece of his brass noisemaker apart, to discover that he had hidden a fully rolled joint inside of his sax for “safe transport”.
You might be wondering… did he toss the thing out? Or smoke it out?

He smoked it.

SALIVA JOINT

LYRICS

The sin of self-distraction is the
Fruit of self-destruction
Intangible the bite has been

It tastes like my construction
